US stocks plunge in volatile trade

Posted: 31 May 2013 06:04 PM PDT

NEW YORK: US stocks tumbled Friday, accelerating their losses after a flurry of mixed indicators sparked volatile trade in the last session of the month.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 208.96 points (1.36 per cent) at 15,115.57.

The broad-based S&P 500 dived 23.67 (1.43 per cent) to 1,630.74, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite lost 35.39 (1.01 per cent) at 3,455.91.

The indices plunged more than 1.0 per cent in late trade as the "fear index" measuring market volatility finished at its highest level since mid-April.

The market was hammered by "a war between the differing readings on the US economic data," said Gregori Volokhine of Meeschaert New York.

The Commerce Department reported that consumer spending dropped by 0.2 per cent last month, the first monthly fall since May 2012 and a signal that growth slowed at the beginning of the second quarter.

Offsetting that was a jump in the Chicago area PMI index to 58.7, its highest since March 2012, and the University of Michigan consumer confidence barometer, which rose to a better-than-expected 83.7, the highest since July 2007.

Jon Ogg of 24/7 WallSt. said the Chicago PMI reading was not as strong as the headline number suggested, pointing to comments from those surveyed in the region.

"The commentary from the ISM Chicago appears to be far more cautious than the numbers might have led you to believe," Ogg said.

Among top-traded stocks, insurer AIG tanked 3.8 per cent, Amazon rose 0.9 per cent and Morgan Stanley edged up 0.3 per cent.

Facebook added to its 5.3 per cent gain Thursday, rising almost 3.0 per cent on the back of analyst upgrades.

A day after their bidding war for broadband carrier Clearwire heated up, Dish Networks fell 2.5 per cent while Sprint lost 0.5 per cent. Clearwire shares dropped 0.4 per cent.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts soared 21.5 per cent to US$17.32 after reporting a 37 per cent jump in fiscal first quarter net income and revenue up 11.2 per cent. The donuts chain also raised its forecast for the full year.

Monsanto shares plunged 4.3 per cent to US$100.64 as the US agriculture giant faced a rising protest over its genetically engineered seeds after an unapproved modified wheat strain was found on an Oregon farm.

Computer chip maker Omnivision Technologies soared 19.2 per cent after it turned in a strong jump in profits for its fiscal fourth quarter, to US$8.9 million from US$2.7 million a year earlier, on a 54 per cent climb in revenues. -- AFP

Yanira Maldonado freed from Mexican jail - BBC News

Posted: 31 May 2013 08:47 AM PDT

Yanira Maldonado speaks to an official after leaving jail in Nogales, Mexico 31 May 2013Yanira Maldonado was returning from her aunt's funeral in Mexico

A US woman has been freed after spending a week in a Mexican jail fighting drug-smuggling charges.

Yanira Maldonado, 42, left the jail near Nogales, Mexico and crossed into the US state of Arizona on Thursday.

Mrs Maldonado had been returning to the US from a family funeral when nearly 12lb (5.4kg) of marijuana was found under her coach seat at a checkpoint.

She denied the cannabis was hers, and the charges were dismissed when a court ruled prosecutors lacked evidence.

Her husband said he was arrested first, but Mrs Maldonado pleaded to stay with him and officials arrested her instead.

Mrs Maldonado subsequently gave a tearful jailhouse interview to a US television station, and at a press conference after her release, she thanked journalists for helping to expedite her case.

Checkpoint searches

"Many thanks to everyone, especially my God who let me go free, my family, my children, who with their help, I was able to survive this test," Mrs Maldonado said.

But she pledged to return to Mexico: "It's not Mexico's fault. It's a few people who did this to me."

According to local news station KPNX-TV in Phoenix, Mrs Maldonado's conditions in prison improved as her situation became more widely publicised.

Mrs Maldonado and her husband Gary were reportedly seen in security footage boarding the coach in the Mexican city of Los Mochis, on their way home to Phoenix, Arizona.

They carried blankets, a purse and bottles of water.

The coach passed through at least two security checkpoints without a problem, but at a third checkpoint in Querobabi the passengers were ordered off the bus during the search.

According to Gary Maldonado, a man sitting behind him ran away while the search was under way.

Democrat drops out, says goal was to oust Bachmann - San Francisco Chronicle

Posted: 31 May 2013 08:47 AM PDT

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Democratic congressional candidate Jim Graves halted his campaign Friday to replace Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann just days after she ruled out a re-election run, saying his goal had been to oust Bachmann from office.

In an email message to supporters, Graves, who narrowly lost to Bachmann last year, said he felt his primary goal of unseating Bachmann was complete even if she decided to step away voluntarily rather than face him in a rematch race.

"We set out to defeat Rep. Bachmann, and that has been accomplished. You should feel incredibly proud," he wrote to his backers. "After all, it was the grassroots movement that you built that kept the pressure on and forced Rep. Bachmann from her seat in Congress."

Bachmann made her own announcement in a Web video on Wednesday in which she tried to head off speculation that she was stepping down to avoid another tight race or because of various ethics investigations surrounding her. She hasn't spoken publicly about her decision since then.

Graves, who founded a hotel chain, narrowly lost to Bachmann in 2012. He had previously announced he would challenge Bachmann again next year if the incumbent opted to try for a fifth term. Her district is the most heavily Republican in Minnesota.

Without a polarizing figure like Bachmann opposite him on the ticket, political experts predicted that Graves would find the task of raising money and converting GOP-leaning voters to his side more difficult.

Several Republicans are weighing a run. No other Democrats have emerged yet.

Minnesota Republican Party Chairman Keith Downey said no matter whom his party chooses, the seat looks safe for the GOP.

"We have a really good chance for a Republican candidate to win that race in the general election in 2014, and apparently Jim Graves saw that as well. We agree with Jim Graves."

Heading into the 2014 campaign, Minnesota Democrats enjoy a 5 to 3 advantage over Republicans in the House delegation.

Reports: Todashev unarmed when killed by FBI - USA TODAY

Posted: 30 May 2013 09:06 AM PDT

A Florida man with ties to Boston bombing suspect Tamarlan Tsarnaev was unarmed when he was shot to death last week while being questioned by an FBI agent, according to media reports quoting FBI and law enforcement sources.

Initially, at least one law enforcement official told USA TODAY that Ibragim Todashev, a 27-year-old ethnic Chechen, was armed with a knife or other sharp object when he violently attacked an FBI agent during questioning in Orlando.

WESH-TV reported Thursday that unidentified FBI sources now say that Todashev was unarmed.

The Orlando NBC affiliate quotes sources as saying a sword was inside the apartment, but that the weapon was moved to the corner of the room before questioning began.

The sources said, according to WESH, that when Todashev lunged, the FBI agent opened fired because he believed that Todashev could have possibly been going for his gun or the sword in the room.

The unidentified sources tell WESH that Todashev might have been lunging toward a sword, but he was not in possession of it.

The Washington Post quoted one law enforcement official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the investigation, said Wednesday that Todashev overturned a table but did not have a gun or a knife. A second official also said Todashev was unarmed, the Post reported.

An advocacy group is demanding a civil rights investigation into the death of a Chechen immigrant who was shot to death by authorities in central Florida while being questioned about his ties to one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects. (May 30)

An official, the newspaper reported, said that according to one account of the shooting, the other law enforcement officials had just stepped out of the room, leaving the FBI agent alone with Todashev, when the confrontation occurred.

The Florida branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations has called for a federal civil rights investigation into Todashev's death.

"We have confirmed through senior sources within the FBI that Ibragim was indeed unarmed when he was shot seven times in the head, what appear to be even in the back of the head," said Hassan Shibly, executive director of the CAIR Florida. "That's very disturbing."

Later, according to the Orlando Sentinel reported, Shibly told reporters that CAIR has an "intermediary" who said the FBI told him Todashev was unarmed. Shibly did not identify the intermediary.

Shibly, speaking to reporters in Orlando on Wednesday, said the group was calling for the independent investigation "to make sure excessive force was not used against this unarmed individual."

The FBI has been tight-lipped in its public statements on the case. At the time of the shooting, the FBI said that an agent, along with two Massachusetts State Police troopers and other law enforcement personnel, were interviewing "an individual" in connection with the Boston bombing case when "violent confrontation was initiated by the individual."

Two law enforcement officials have also told USA TODAY that Todashev was being questioned about the unsolved 2011 murders of three men in Waltham, Mass.

ABC News reported last week that Todashev was about to sign a confession to the killings when he became violent.

Todashev has not been directly implicated in the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings that killed three people and injured more than 260. The FBI has said only that Todashev, a martial arts enthusiast like Tsarnaev, knew the bombings suspect when he lived in Boston.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 27, and his brother, Dzhokhar, 19, were both named as suspects in the bombings. Tamerlan died three days after the April 15 bombings during a shootout with police that also left Dzhokhar injured.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was later captured and charged in connection with the bombings. He is being held at a prison medical center near Boston.

David Petraeus named chair of private-equity firm KKR's research arm - Newsday

David Petraeus, whose 14-month tenure as CIA director was cut short when an extramarital affair became public in November, has been hired by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., the private equity firm announced Thursday.

The retired four-star general will become chairman of the newly created KKR Global Institute, which will function as a research arm of the New York City firm and will analyze investments in the areas of public policy and regulatory, macroeconomic and technology trends, the company said.

"As the world changes and we expand how and where we invest, we are always looking to sharpen the KKR edge," Henry Kravis, co-founder and co-CEO of KKR, said in a statement.

In the news release, Petraeus said he was happy to become "part of a new initiative to provide additional insights to KKR's clients and companies."

Petraeus, a Cornwall-on-Hudson native and West Point graduate, also will help the firm evaluate the risks in investing in "new geographies," the company said.

In April, Petraeus accepted a one-year appointment as visiting professor of public policy at City University of New York's Macaulay Honors College in Queens.

Petraeus, who commanded U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, chronicled his career in "All In: The Education of General David Petraeus," a biography written with Paula Broadwell. After he was appointed the nation's top spy, disclosures of his affair with Broadwell forced his resignation.

Besides a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Petraeus also has master's and doctorate degrees from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

KKR, which has been around for 37 years, manages assets of more than $78.3 billion. The firm has been a leader in leveraged buyouts, in which it borrows money to acquire companies it considers undervalued and then seeks to make a profit through strategies like changing management, trimming the workforce and selling off pieces of the firm.

KKR's 1989 leveraged buyout of RJR Nabisco, was chronicled in "Barbarians at the Gate: The Fall of RJR Nabisco," a book that was made into a television movie.

US stocks fall on global growth concerns

Posted: 29 May 2013 04:32 PM PDT

NEW YORK: US stocks Wednesday closed lower amid concerns about global economic growth and the US Federal Reserve's plans for unwinding its aggressive stimulus program.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 106.59 (0.69 per cent) to 15,302.80.

The broad-based S&P 500 gave up 11.70 (0.70 per cent) at 1,648.36, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 21.37 (0.61 per cent) to 3,467.52.

The losses came after the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development trimmed its world economic growth forecast for 2013 to 3.1 per cent from 3.4 per cent.

Peter Cardillo of Rockwell Global Capital said higher US bond yields have also sapped the equity market of momentum. The yield on the 10-year bond, while slightly lower Wednesday, has crossed above 2.0 per cent in recent days for the first time since mid-March.

Smithfield Foods surged 28.4 per cent after announcing an agreement to be acquired by China's Shuanghui International in a deal valuing the US pork and meat icon at US$7.1 billion. If approved by US regulators, the deal would be one of the largest ever purchases of a US company by a Chinese entity.

In other merger and acquisition news, telecommunications firm Sprint Nextel and SoftBank received the green light for the Japanese telecom company's proposed US$20 billion takeover.

Sprint shares added 0.1 per cent. Dish Network, which launched a competing bid for Sprint, fell 2.2 per cent.

Funeral home operator Stewart Enterprises rose 33.2 per cent after competitor Service Corp. International announced a US$1.4 billion deal to acquire it.

Among the Dow members topping the loss column were pharmaceutical companies Pfizer (down 2.5 per cent) and Johnson & Johnson (down 2.2 per cent), as well as Coca-Cola (down 2.7 per cent) and McDonald's (down 2.2 per cent). -- AFP

More moms bring home the bacon -- and men approve - Newsday

Posted: 29 May 2013 08:01 AM PDT

Photo credit: Fotolia | America's working mothers are now the primary breadwinners in a record 40 percent of households with children — a milestone in the changing face of modern families, up from just 11 percent in 1960.

Still a man's world? Check your pay stub.

A new study by the Pew Research Center found that in a record 40.4 percent of households with children, mom is the sole or primary breadwinner. That compares to 10.8 percent in 1960, according to Pew's analysis of Census Bureau data through 2011.

In the case of married couples with children, almost a quarter of women take home a bigger paycheck than their husbands compared to 3.8 percent in 1960.

PHOTOS: Forbes' 12 'Most Powerful Women'

The trends reflect growing cracks in the glass ceiling that had limited opportunities for women in the workplace and employers' hunger for workers with advanced education.

Allan Mohl, a family therapist with an office in Dobbs Ferry, said that the Hudson Valley men he sees in his practice have made a seamless transition to the new reality.

"I think men are more accepting of the fact that their wives might make more," he said. "There are actually some guys who enjoy staying at home and taking care of the kids. There's been a big shift here."

In 1960, about 16 percent of married couples had a husband who was better educated than his wife versus 7 percent where the wife had advanced further in school.

Fast forward to 2011, however, the study said, and "the pattern has flipped," with 23 percent of women who are better educated than their husbands compared to 17 percent with a husband who has an educational edge.

That educational gap has helped to narrow the wage gap, the study found, with 38 percent of women who had advanced further than their husband academically also out-earning him. That compares to 23 percent of wives who make more than their husbands when they have equivalent education.

The change in attitudes found by Mohl among men in the Hudson Valley extends to those of both sexes nationwide, according to the report.

Sixty-three percent of those surveyed in April rejected the notion that it is bad for a marriage if a wife earns more than her husband compared to 58 percent in 1997.

Mohl said he expects the change in gender roles eventually to extend to the Oval Office.

"The idea of having a woman president is no big deal anymore."

Trayvon Martin Update: Judge denies delay of George Zimmerman's June 10 ... - CBS News

(CBS/AP) A Florida judge on Tuesday denied a request by George Zimmerman's defense to delay the June 10 murder trial for the former neighborhood watch captain, accused of killing unarmed teen Trayvon Martin during a confrontation in Sanford, Fla. last year.

PICTURES: George Zimmerman faces murder charge

The ruling came during a pre-trial hearing during which Circuit Judge Debra Nelson considered a series of motions.

Nelson ruled Tuesday that George Zimmerman's defense may not bring up Trayvon Martin's past marijuana use, school suspensions or fighting at trial without another ruling granting them permission, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Text messages about Martin's smoking marijuana and trouble at school were released by Zimmerman's defense attorneys last week. The photos released by the defense team also show Martin blowing smoke and making an obscene gesture toward the camera.

Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, told the judge that Martin's marijuana use and past fighting was central to the argument that Zimmerman used self-defense when he confronted Martin last year at a gated community in Sanford, Fla. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. He has pleaded not guilty.

"We have a lot of evidence that marijuana use had something to do with the event," O'Mara said. "It could have affected his behavior."

Also on Tuesday, Nelson ruled that a toxicology test showing that Martin had marijuana in his system at the time of his death could not be discussed during opening statements.

The judge ruled against a defense request that the pool of jury candidates be sequestered during jury selection. Nelson denied a prosecution request for a gag order that would prohibit attorneys from talking about the case.

O'Mara said he is concerned potential jurors could be affected by publicity the case is receiving.

Rescuers save a newborn from sewer pipe beneath public restroom in China - Fox News

Posted: 28 May 2013 08:50 AM PDT

A newborn boy is recovering in a Chinese hospital after being rescued from a sewage pipe below a squat toilet by firefighters, who sawed off an L-shaped section and then delicately dismantled it to free the trapped baby.

A tenant heard the baby's cries in the public restroom of a residential building in Zhejiang province in eastern China on Saturday and notified authorities, according to the state-run news site Zhejiang News. A video of the two-hour rescue that followed was broadcast widely on Chinese news programs and websites late Monday and Tuesday.

The child — named Baby No. 59 from the number of his hospital incubator — was reported safe in a nearby hospital, and news of the rescue prompted an outpouring from strangers who came to the hospital with diapers, baby clothes, powdered milk and offers to adopt the child.

The baby weighed 2.8 kilograms (6.2 pounds) and still had his placenta attached to his body, reports said. His heart rate was low and there were grazes on his head and limbs, but he was largely unscathed, according to Zhejiang Online, the province's official news portal.

It was not immediately clear how the baby ended up in the toilet, but police said they were treating the case as an attempted homicide. The Pujiang county police bureau said on its official microblog account that the boy's mother has been located and that an investigation is ongoing, but gave no further details.

A duty officer at the Pujiang Public Security Bureau reached by phone late Tuesday said he had no information and that staffers involved in the investigation had left for the day.

On China's popular Twitter-like microblogs, some users expressed pity for the child and horror at his ordeal. Most bloggers speculated that the child had been abandoned and dumped by his parents down the toilet.

The landlord of the building in Pujiang county told Zhejiang News that it was unlikely the birth took place in the restroom because there was no evidence of blood and she was not aware of any recent pregnancies among her tenants.

The baby was stuck in an L-shaped portion of the sewage pipe with a diameter of about 10 centimeters (3 inches).

The video shows rescuers sawing off a section of the pipe along a ceiling that apparently was just below the restroom. The rescuers then rushed that section of pipe to a hospital, where firefighters and medics alternately used pliers and saws to rip apart the pipe and free the baby.

Despites the offers to adopt Baby No. 59, a doctor at the hospital said the boy would be handed over to social services if his parents did not claim him, Zhejiang News said.

In China, reports of babies being abandoned are common and fuel public anger against a strict one-child policy that imposes huge fines on parents who violate the rules. The policy has been blamed as a factor causing parents to abandon unwanted children, though they are usually baby girls whose parents want sons due to a traditional preference for male heirs.

President Obama lays wreath, speaks at Arlington National Cemetery - Fox News

Posted: 27 May 2013 08:31 AM PDT

President Obama laid a wreath Monday at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington.

The cemetery is the final resting place for many American war heroes.

The president rode by motorcade from the White House to the cemetery. The U.S. Marines  stood at attention along the road that carried the president to tomb site. The headstones at the national cemetery were adorned with mini-American flags.

Appearing before a hushed crowd at the venerable cemetery, Obama strode with uniformed military officers to the site of the Tomb and set the wreath in place after the playing of the National Anthem.

The president was to give a speech following the wreath-laying.

Earlier Monday, the president and first lady Michelle Obama hosted a breakfast at the White House with "Gold Star" families of service members who have been killed.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Woolwich murder probe: suspect Michael Adebolajo held in Kenya in 2010 - BBC News

Posted: 26 May 2013 07:07 AM PDT

Footage shows Michael Adebolajo in court in Kenya in 2010

One of the suspects in the Woolwich murder case was arrested in Kenya in 2010, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

It said Michael Adebolajo was arrested there and it gave consular assistance "as normal" in the circumstances.

He was believed to have been preparing to fight with Somali militant group al-Shabab, a Kenyan government spokesman told the BBC, and was later deported.

Meanwhile, police investigating soldier Lee Rigby's murder have arrested a 22-year-old man in north London.

The arrest at Highbury Grove, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, brings the total number made so far in the case to nine.

And separately, a demonstration is being held at the murder scene by members of the English Defence League.

CCTV footage

The Kenyan government had previously denied that Mr Adebolajo had ever visited the country, but spokesman Muthui Kariuki said there had been some confusion as he was arrested under a different name.

Mr Adebolajo was handed over to UK authorities when it emerged he was a British citizen, he added.

In video footage of his court appearance which emerged on Sunday, Mr Adebolajo is heard to say: "These people are mistreating us, we are innocent."

Islamist insurgent group al-Shabab is affiliated to al-Qaeda and is thought to have 7,000 to 9,000 fighters. It killed 76 people in a double bomb attack in Uganda as they watched the 2010 World Cup.

Mr Adebolajo, 28, and a second man, Michael Adebowale, 22, were arrested on suspicion of the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich on Wednesday.

They remain in custody in hospital in a stable condition after being shot and wounded by police at the scene after the killing.

The family of Drummer Lee Rigby, who was slain in Woolwich last week, visit the scene of his death

Three further men, aged 21, 24 and 28, were arrested in London on Saturday evening on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder - a Taser was used on two of them.

A 29-year-old man arrested earlier on suspicion of conspiracy to murder was released on bail on Saturday, while two women aged 29 and 31, arrested on Thursday, have been released without charge.

In an update on Sunday, Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stuart Osborne said officers were examining CCTV footage, social media and forensic material as part of their investigation into Drummer Rigby's murder.

He appealed for any associates of Mr Adebolajo and Mr Adebowale who believed they might have useful information to come forward.

'Right procedures'

Earlier on Sunday, Home Secretary Theresa May told the BBC's Andrew Marr programme "500 officers and others" were working on the case, including counter-terrorism officers brought in from elsewhere in the country.

Senior Whitehall sources have previously confirmed to the BBC both suspects arrested at the scene of Drummer Rigby's killing were already known to security services.

A friend of Mr Adebolajo, Abu Nusaybah, told the BBC's Newsnight on Friday that MI5 tried to recruit Mr Adebolajo as an operative after he returned from a trip to Kenya in 2012 - a request he rejected.

Abu Nusaybah also told the BBC Mr Adebolajo was physically and sexually abused while in Kenyan custody, but government spokesman Muthui Kariuki denied the allegation.

When asked if there were mistakes made by the security services in dealing with this case, Mrs May said: "What we have is the right procedures which say when things like this happen we do need to look at whether there are any lessons to be learned."

She also said a new taskforce was being set up to look at whether new powers were needed to tackle extremism.

It will be chaired by the prime minister and include senior cabinet ministers and security chiefs.

In other developments:

  • Members of Mr Rigby's family have visited the scene of his murder, laying flowers at the Woolwich Barracks where the 25-year-old soldier with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers was based
  • Prayers were said on Sunday at a service dedicated to Drummer Rigby at St Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, in Woolwich, at a service at the town's St Mary Magdalene Parish Church and in his local church in his home town of Middleton, Greater Manchester
  • French authorities are treating the stabbing of a soldier in a Paris suburb as terrorism and are investigating whether it was a copycat attack. Defence Minister Jean Yves Le Drian said Private First Class Cedric Cordier had been targeted by an unknown man because of his profession
  • Mrs May also said "thousands" of people were potentially at risk of radicalisation in the UK and the government had introduced a new programme to help those who could be sucked in
  • Former Conservative leader Michael Howard said the Tories could form a pact with Labour to push through the controversial Communications Data Bill, despite Lib Dem objections. The bill would give police and security services access to details of all online communication in the UK and supporters say it would help root out would-be terrorists

MOORE, Oklahoma | Sun May 26, 2013 11:33am EDT

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama was headed to Moore, Oklahoma, on Sunday to tour the town that was hammered last week by a powerful tornado that killed 24 people and injured hundreds.

Obama, who departed Washington on Sunday morning, is scheduled to witness the response effort in the storm-hit corridor and meet with members of affected families in a four-hour visit to the state.

The tornado, which rated the most powerful on the five-step scale used to measure the destructive power of twisters, ripped a 17-mile (27-km) long corridor of destruction through the suburb of Oklahoma City, flattening entire blocks of homes, two schools and a hospital in some 50 minutes on May 20.

It was the most powerful of a spate of 76 twisters that touched down in 10 states from May 18 through 20, causing an estimated $2 billion to $5 billion in insured losses, according to disaster modeling company Eqecat.

Some 377 people were injured by the Moore tornado, the deadliest such windstorm to hit the United States in two years.
