| Eastern Pac hits 4-year high on buyout offer Posted: 24 Aug 2011 06:12 PM PDT Eastern Pacific Industrial Corp, a Malaysian oil and gas services provider, rose to a four-year high in Kuala Lumpur trading after receiving a buyout offer at RM3.10 a share. The stock climbed 3.8 percent to RM3.04, set for its highest close since July 2007. -- Bloomberg

| IOI Corp gains on higher Q4 net income Posted: 24 Aug 2011 06:25 PM PDT IOI Corp, a Malaysian plantation company, rose to the highest in more than a week in Kuala Lumpur trading after reporting fourth-quarter net income increased to RM547.8 million from RM547.1 million a year earlier. The stock gained 1.1 per cent to RM4.72 at 9:14 a.m. local time, set for the highest close since Aug. 16. -- Bloomberg
