RHB upgrades IOI Corp to 'neutral'

Posted: 04 Apr 2013 06:57 PM PDT

RHB Research upgraded IOI Corp Bhd to 'neutral' from
'sell' as it expects higher earnings from the company's property division to offset the poor performance of its plantation business.

IOI's upstream plantation business could be affected by
'lacklustre' palm oil prices, although the company will be supported by its property developments in Malaysia and Singapore, the research house said in a note on Friday. The brokerage raised its target price on IOI to RM4.90 from RM4.70.

Shares of IOI were down 1.03 per cent at RM4.81 as of 9.27am, while the benchmark index was lower 0.26 per cent.-- Reuters
