RM131.5 million deals concluded for healthcare-buying mission Posted: 17 Jul 2011 09:44 PM PDT KUALA LUMPUR: Twelve international buyers from eight countries, who recently participated in an incoming buying mission for the healthcare sector, have concluded trade deals worth an estimated RM131.5 million for medical disposables, pharmaceuticals, antiseptics and disinfectants. The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) said ongoing negotiations for potential deals were estimated at RM437.2 million, derived mainly through tentative orders from two Vietnamese companies for hospital furniture and health supplements. Ninety-one business meetings were held on July 6 for buyers from Brazil, Canada, India, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Vietnam with Malaysian exporters of medical devices and pharmaceuticals, said Matrade in a statement today. Housing and Local Government Ministry to relocate to Putrajaya Posted: 17 Jul 2011 09:39 PM PDT PUTRAJAYA: The Housing and Local Government Ministry will relocate to Persiaran Perdana, Precinct 4, Putrajaya in stages beginning today. According to a statement issued by the ministry's Corporate Communication Unit, the new premises would be fully operational by Sept 1. The Ministry's new address is NO: 51, Persiaran Perdana, Presint 4, 62100 Putrajaya and its new telephone number, 03-88915000. The shift will involve the National Housing Department, Local Government Department and National Solid Waste Management Department. Also moving would be the Tribunal for Home Buyers, and Moneylenders and Pawnbrokers Division.
