YTL Power declines on EPF stake selldown Posted: 28 Dec 2011 06:05 PM PST YTL Power International Bhd, a Malaysian power producer, fell to a one-week low in Kuala Lumpur trading after the country's biggest pension fund continued to sell down its stake. The stock dropped 1.1 percent to RM1.78 at 9:25 a.m. local time, set for its lowest close since Dec. 19. YTL said in in exchange filing yesterday that the Employees Provident Fund disposed of 1.4 million shares on Dec. 22, bringing its total net sales disclosed this month to about 13 million shares. -- Bloomberg |
Alam Maritim gains on securing contract Posted: 28 Dec 2011 05:23 PM PST Alam Maritim Resources Bhd, a Malaysian oil and gas services provider, climbed to the highest level in almost three weeks in Kuala Lumpur trading after securing a RM29.8 million (US$9.4 million) offshore transportation and installation contract. The stock gained 2.7 percent to 76 sen at 9:02 a.m. local time, set for the highest close since Dec. 9. -- Bloomberg
