Short-term rates to remain stable Posted: 26 Jan 2014 06:26 PM PST Short-term interbank rates are likely to remain stable today following Bank Negara Malaysia's intervention to absorb excess liquidity from the financial system. The central bank estimated today's liquidity at RM23.413 billion in the conventional system and RM3.096 billion in Islamic funds. Bank Negara will conduct four conventional money market tenders comprising RM2 billion for two days, RM1 billion each for eight days and 14 days, respectively, and RM500 million for 28 days. The bank will also call for RM600 million repo tender for 31 days and two Al-Wadiah tenders worth RM600 million for nine days and RM500 million for 28 days.
