Police rejects Perkasa's application for rally Posted: 07 Jul 2011 10:32 PM PDT KUALA LUMPUR: Police have rejected Malay rights group Perkasa's application for a permit to hold a rally at the Titiwangsa Stadium tomorrow. Sentul OCPD ACP Zakaria Pagan said the application was not approved because the venue had already been booked by a sports organisation for a sports event tomorrow and on Sunday. "Taking into consideration the information we received from Kuala Lumpur City Hall yesterday and other security aspects, we decided to reject their application for a permit," he told a news conference today.
Zakaria asked Perkasa members and the public not to gather at the stadium. |
Banting murder trial: BMWs found abandoned in Subang Posted: 07 Jul 2011 10:26 PM PDT 2011/07/08 The two BMWs belonging to Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya and her lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abd Karim were found abandoned at two separate occasions in Subang Jaya a week after they went missing. Sgt Jaswant Singh told the High Court in the Banting murder trial that the car with the reg number WTL 11 (belonging to Sosilawati) was found at the parking area of Flat Angsana USJ, Subang Jaya on Sept 6. Meanwhile, lance corporal Roslee Sharon said the car with the reg number AAJ5 (belonging to Kamil) was found abandoned near Grand Dorsett Hotel in Subang Jaya the same night. |
