RHB upgrades IOI Corp to 'neutral'

Posted: 04 Apr 2013 06:57 PM PDT

RHB Research upgraded IOI Corp Bhd to 'neutral' from
'sell' as it expects higher earnings from the company's property division to offset the poor performance of its plantation business.

IOI's upstream plantation business could be affected by
'lacklustre' palm oil prices, although the company will be supported by its property developments in Malaysia and Singapore, the research house said in a note on Friday. The brokerage raised its target price on IOI to RM4.90 from RM4.70.

Shares of IOI were down 1.03 per cent at RM4.81 as of 9.27am, while the benchmark index was lower 0.26 per cent.-- Reuters

Guessing the Sentences in Hillary Clinton's New Book - Vanity Fair

Posted: 04 Apr 2013 08:55 AM PDT

And while we're on the subject of the 2016 presidential race: Hillary Clinton, the pre-presumptive Democratic nominee, has announced a forthcoming book project for next summer. Per Simon & Schuster: "The yet-to-be titled book will use a number of dramatic moments during Secretary Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State to frame her thoughts about the recent history of U.S. foreign policy and the urgent, ongoing need for American leadership in a changing world." Fun! Makes a great gift for people vaguely interested in politics whose birthdays/graduations/housewarmings you forgot.

As is VF.com tradition, we will now be playing the best political-memoir game in the world, Guess The Sentences. To answer your two questions: you play by guessing the sentences likely to appear in Hillary Clinton's new book; and no, we have not figured out a better name for this feature in the two years we have been playing this game. Onward!

"I don't think the Indian ambassador very much cared for Vice President Biden's impression of the gentleman who had sold him his coffee."

"People always ask me about it but actually I, too, completely forgot Bill and I owned a cat and honestly have no idea where Socks is."

"It was the 90s, for Chrissakes!"

"I explained to Governor Romney that the United States does not have an embassy in the Cayman Islands, but Mrs. Romney would not take 'no' for an answer."

"The Indian ambassador was disappointed that Vice President Biden insisted on doing that impression so soon after we had to suffer through it the first time."

"Do I think the fall 2014 war with India could have been avoided? Frankly, yes."

(CBS/AP) AKRON, Ohio - A self-styled street preacher who teamed up with a high school student in a deadly plot to lure men with bogus Craigslist job offers was sentenced to death Thursday.

An Ohio judge sentenced 53-year-old Richard Beasley after a jury recommended last week that he be executed.

Beasley was convicted of teaming up with a teenager in 2011 to lure men with offers of farmhand jobs in southeast Ohio. Three men were killed and a fourth wounded.

Co-defendant Brogan Rafferty, who was then 16 years old, was too young to face the death penalty. Rafferty was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole on his conviction last year.
